The ProxEasy Desktop Client will probably work and also provides added reliability, encryption, security and speed!
A web-based proxy is limited and will only work with simple HTML sites. The limitations appear when sites use javascript, flash and other complex browser features.
The ProxEasy Desktop Client application is able to access 99% of all internet sites, including those with complex scripting and objects, even flash! The client also automatically encrypts all textual data, over a standard HTTP (non-SSL) link. It works with Windows operating systems using Internet Explorer, FireFox, or any browser that supports HTTP proxies. Instructions for using the ProxEasy desktop client are below.
Instructions:
- Download the client click here to download (ProxEasy membership required) and save it to your computer somewhere you will remember it. Saving to the windows desktop makes it easy to find later.
- Run the setup program ProxEasySetup.msi from wherever you saved it to.
- Find the ProxEasy entry in your Start menu and run the client:
You should get a little world icon in your taskbar:
- If you use Internet Explorer or FireFox, load it up and start surfing - ProxEasy will automatically proxy all your web pages!
- If you use a different browser, you will need to setup your proxy settings according to the help tip bubble that appears when ProxEasy loads.
